	Animals Janell loves animals of all kinds.  She has had many wonderful opportunities to photograph animals in their natural environment and in a garden and studio setting.  Many of her family portrait creations have included animals.  They are members of the family!  Be sure to view those images in our family portrait gallery.  Janell has an adorable cat named button as part of her family and he just loves posing for her!  Our gallery has traditional pet portraits and painted animal portraits.

	Baby Vignettes We have included this gallery of baby vignettes at the suggestion of one of our dads.  He loved the detail images of his newborn son and on a recent visit to the studio, suggested we add a gallery of these precious portraits to our website. These beautiful portrait composites, framed and matted are wonderful art pieces for you to treasure ... for a lifetime.These special portraits are cherished mementos of your baby at any age.  We also create these of toddlers, too!
	Boudoir/Glamour Portraits A most special portrait of a woman.   Janell creates sensual images that enhance your personality and style.  These images are fully re-touched and each session is uniquely matched to your personal style.  3-4 clothing changes are included along with portrait enhancements.  Professional makeup and hair styling are available.  We have just a few boudoir images on display here at our website.  Please contact Janell and set up an appointment at our studio to view more of these images and discuss the details of your session.
	Children's Hero/Heroine Portrait Session What is a Hero/Heroine Portrait?  The inspiration for these images came from my daughter when she was 10 and loved to read.  We collaborated to create her heroine portrait based on a character from one of her most favorite books, Alanna, the first book of The Song of the Lioness quartet by Tamora Pierce.  This was such a fun and imaginative experience for her.  She was very involved in the details of the session, the design of the “costume” and the selection of props.   Throughout the creation of these images I saw her self confidence boost and her enthusiasm for the love of reading really shine.  The delight she felt in being a part of the creative process made me want to create these types of images with the children I photograph.  I’ve been creating children’s portraits for more than 20 years.  Childhood years are a time when young boys and girls have true heroes and heroines.  It is a time for make believe.  As young people journey through the path of childhood and adolescence, they develop self esteem, explore who they are and realize who they want to become.  A hero/heroine portrait session not only creates a beautiful painted portrait for their family to treasure, but it captures a moment in their young life when they get to become … their own hero/heroine.
	Children's Portraits Nothing is more precious than the story of a child.  We will preserve the wonder of childhood by creating portraits of your child illustrating his or her many  moods, interests, attitudes and achievements.   These wonderful storytelling images will melt your heart and be cherished for many generations.  Janell has been photographing children for more than 20 years and loves to create these timeless images.  Your child will have fun and be delighted with all the "magical" stories and special props Janell uses during her sessions.  We offer garden sessions, studio sessions or a combination of both since our studio is in our garden!
	Family Portraits A portrait you will cherish for a lifetime.  Every detail of your session is carefully planned.  We offer studio, garden and on-location family portraits.  We have also created beautiful portraits in the gardens and homes of our clients.   We are fortunate to have wonderful weather and beautiful locations here in southern California.  From the beautiful beaches to the wonderful oak groves, let us create with you a wonderful family heirloom.  Generation portraits are one of our specialties.
	Headshots/Executive Portraits
	High School Seniors and Teens Check out our gallery of high school senior's and teens.  We offer fun studio/garden combination sessions to our seniors and all sessions include memory books and a picture for the yearbook.  Call our studio to request a brochure about our senior packages and pricing.
	Pregnancy Portraits We will create a work of art that reveals the essence of your feelings at this most special time in your life.  We offer everything you need for a most perfect portrait session experience.  Beautiful drapes, sari’s and gowns; private studio and garden sessions; bathtub setting; professional hair & make-up; full portrait retouching (if desired).  One of a kind, fine art portraits in color, vintage sepia and B/W to celebrate the upcoming birth of your child.  Family members are also invited to be part of your session.  Most sessions last about 2 hours and include 3-4 clothing changes.
